AryaXAI, the research and development division of Arya.ai—an Aurionpro company—has announced the launch of the AryaXAI AI Alignment Labs in Paris and Mumbai. This strategic initiative is aimed at accelerating cutting-edge research in AI interpretability and alignment, key areas critical to ensuring the responsible development and deployment of artificial intelligence technologies.
As AI systems become more complex, the risks associated with model failures, misalignment, and lack of accountability grow significantly—especially in mission-critical and regulated environments. The new labs will focus on developing scalable frameworks for model explainability, alignment, and risk management, helping ensure AI systems remain transparent, reliable, and safe.
“AryaXAI is deeply committed to addressing the pressing challenges of AI interpretability and alignment,” said Vinay Kumar, CEO of Arya.ai. “These are some of the toughest problems in scaling AI for real-world applications. Through the AI Alignment Labs, we aim to enhance model transparency, improve fine-tuning, enable effective model pruning, and create new methods for aligning complex model behaviors.”
He added, “Following our initial launch in December 2024, we’re now accelerating our mission. There are only a few teams globally focusing on this niche, and we wanted to create centralized hubs that tap into global academic and research talent. Paris, with its dynamic AI ecosystem and proximity to leading European academic institutions, was a natural choice. Our Mumbai lab will leverage India's top-tier AI researchers and collaborate closely with universities to tackle frontier challenges.”
AryaXAI has already introduced innovative tools like DLBacktrace (DLB), an open-source technique for deep learning model explainability, and XAI_Evals, a library for benchmarking explainability methods. With the launch of the new labs, the team plans to ramp up the development and open-source release of additional pioneering techniques in AI interpretability and alignment.
