Reliance NU Energies Wins Largest Allocation in SJVN’s 1500 MW / 6000 MWh FDRE Tender

Reliance Power Limited’s wholly owned subsidiary, Reliance NU Energies Pvt. Ltd., has received the Letter of Award (LoA) for securing the largest allocation in the 1,500 MW / 6,000 MWh Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) ISTS tender issued by SJVN Limited, a Navratna PSU.

Reliance NU Energies bagged 750 MW / 3,000 MWh capacity — the biggest share under the tender — at a tariff of Rs 6.74 per kWh, setting a new benchmark in India’s renewable energy market. The tender, oversubscribed 3.3 times with participation from 14 qualified bidders, marks a major leap toward round-the-clock renewable power supply through hybrid and storage-based systems.

With this win, the Reliance Group has solidified its position as India’s largest Solar + BESS player, with a cumulative portfolio of over 4 GWp of solar and 6.5 GWh of battery storage across four projects under development.

The project will deliver dispatchable renewable peaking power from a hybrid setup combining 900 MWp solar capacity and 3,000 MWh BESS, supporting India’s energy transition and decarbonization goals.

This milestone reinforces Reliance Power’s commitment to renewable energy leadership and its vision to advance India’s sustainable and low-carbon future.
