Wholesale price inflation eased to -1.21% in October, helped by lower prices of food items such as pulses and vegetables, along with a decline in fuel and manufactured product prices, according to government data released on Friday.
WPI inflation stood at 0.13% in September and 2.75% in October last year.
The industry ministry attributed the negative print mainly to a drop in prices of food articles, crude petroleum and natural gas, electricity, mineral oils, and basic metals.
