Highness Microelectronics Ltd has entered into a technology transfer agreement with a Chinese display glass manufacturer to localise glass cutting and resizing of TFT-LCD modules, strengthening India’s display manufacturing capabilities.
The agreement, signed on April 13, 2026 in Suzhou, focuses on building a long-term partnership to deliver customised digital imaging solutions for transportation sectors such as railways, metros, and urban mobility.
Under the pact, Highness will gain access to proprietary technology, including processes, designs, technical data, and quality control systems related to TFT-LCD module resizing. The company has been granted rights to manufacture, market, and distribute these products primarily in India, with additional coverage across Australia and New Zealand.
The agreement also allows exports to other markets, subject to prior approval, while enabling the company to adapt and utilise technical documentation for production and integration.
Managing Director & CEO Gaurav Manjul Kejriwal said the partnership marks a key milestone, positioning the company as the only player in India with this specialised capability, and opening new opportunities in advanced display solutions for the transport sector.
