Adani Power Limited has announced the incorporation of a step-down subsidiary to enter the nuclear energy segment.
The company said its wholly-owned arm, Adani Atomic Energy Limited, has set up another wholly-owned subsidiary—Rawatbhata-Raj Atomic Energy Limited—on April 20, 2026. The new entity will focus on generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity from nuclear sources.
The move aligns with the government’s push to expand nuclear power capacity to 100 GW by 2047, alongside policy initiatives aimed at encouraging private sector participation in the space.
