Indian Railways has approved a new daily Mail train service between Kanpur Central and Anand Vihar Terminal, offering passengers an additional overnight travel option between Kanpur and the Delhi-NCR region.
The service will operate as Train Nos. 14153/14154 Kanpur Central–Anand Vihar (T)–Kanpur Central Mail.
Train No. 14153 will leave Kanpur Central at 8:40 PM and reach Anand Vihar (T) at 4:50 AM the following morning. In the return direction, Train No. 14154 will depart from Anand Vihar (T) at 11:25 PM and arrive at Kanpur Central at 7:25 AM.
The train will cover approximately 428 km in each direction, with a journey time of 8 hours 10 minutes from Kanpur to Anand Vihar and around 8 hours on the return journey.
The new daily service will have commercial stoppages at Phaphund, Etawah, Tundla, Hathras, Aligarh, Khurja, Dadri and Ghaziabad.
The service is expected to provide passengers with greater flexibility for overnight travel while improving rail connectivity between Kanpur, key towns along the route and the Delhi-NCR region.
The introduction of the Mail service will also strengthen passenger connectivity across this important rail corridor and provide an additional option for travellers commuting between Kanpur and Delhi.
