Post-Session: Sensex, Nifty snap six-day rally on global trade concerns

Indian benchmark indices ended lower on Friday, halting a six-day winning streak, as sentiment weakened following reports that the US may launch a fresh probe into China’s compliance with their 2020 trade deal.

Market mood was further dampened after Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal stated that India would not hasten into trade agreements with restrictive conditions, tempering expectations of an early India–US trade pact and triggering profit-booking.
